Obtrusive lighting (light trespass) is defined by three major interrelated elements, including spill light, glare and skyglow. Spill light is the light that falls outside the area intended to be lit. Glare is caused by directly viewing the light source or strong light from the light source. Skyglow is the light which goes into the sky, by reducing it we can protect visibility of our night sky.
