0-10V vs 1-10V?

Although 0-10V and 1-10V use the same low-voltage wiring in lighting control, they are functionally almost identical; the only difference is in the brightness of the luminaires when the signal voltage is 0-1V. With 0-10V, lighting can be dimmed down to 0% (completely off); that is, at a signal voltage of 0-1V, we can turn off the luminaire without having to cut off the main power supply. In contrast, 1-10V can only be dimmed down to a minimum of 10%; that is, when the signal voltage is 0V, the luminaire still emits a faint glow, and completely turning off the light requires an additional main power relay or cutting off the main power supply. However, sometimes they are actually the same thing—a misunderstanding caused by different notational conventions. In other words, in certain situations, 1-10V dimming is essentially the same as 0-10V dimming. If you check the power supply’s dimming curve, when the voltage is between 0 and 1V and the output is 0%, we can also achieve complete shutdown of streetlights that use this 1-10V dimming protocol.
