If it is a high-pressure sodium lamp, it needs 250W, and runs for 10 hours a day, the total power consumption is 205W × 10 hours = 2,500 watt-hours or 2.5 kilowatt-hours (kWh)

Take garden lights as an example
A 20W garden light runs for 10 hours every night, and the total power consumption is 20W × 10 hours = 200 watt-hours or 0.2 kilowatt-hours (kWh).
If it is an energy-saving lamp, it needs 50W, and runs for 10 hours a day, the total power consumption is 50W × 10 hours = 500 watt-hours or 0.5 kilowatt-hours (kWh)
