A LED solar sensor street light project has been successfully implemented in the charming coastal area of Egypt. The project adopts ZGSM-PV5 series solar sensor street light. In terms of light source, Lumileds 5050 LED chips were selected, with a color rendering index of over 90 (CRI in LED lighting), which can truly restore the color of objects and make the seaside landscape at night more gorgeous and colorful. At the same time, the lumen brightness of up to 12000lm ensures that the road is evenly and sufficiently illuminated, which greatly improves the safety of night travel. The BMS system of solar sensor street light can detect the remaining battery capacity to ensure that the lights can continue to operate during continuous cloudy and rainy weather, thus providing uninterrupted lighting for the road.

Considering the special natural environment of the Egyptian coastal area, the high salt and high humidity air is extremely corrosive to the equipment. The solar sensor street light has been strengthened in material selection and process treatment. In addition, this street lamp is also equipped with an advanced infrared sensing design (Solar street light with motion sensor or passive infrared sensor), which realizes intelligent lighting control.

Since its implementation, the solar sensor street light project has received widespread praise from the local government and residents for its excellent corrosion resistance, efficient energy utilization, and intelligent lighting control.

Safety and reliability: 12–24V low-voltage DC power supply is adopted, with low risk of electric shock and fire; the whole machine can reach IP65 waterproof and dustproof level, and the working temperature range is about -30℃ to 50℃, which is more stable in extreme weather such as typhoon, rainstorm, sandstorm and high temperature.

Intelligent management and long life: It can be connected to the Internet of Things platform for remote monitoring and fault alarm; the life of the lamps is usually ≥100,000 hours, and the induction dimming is used to further slow down the light decay and extend the life of the system.

Solar sensor street light, due to their flexibility and energy-saving characteristics, are very suitable for the following scenarios:

Urban roads and side roads: Automatically adjust brightness according to traffic density, ensuring safety while achieving efficient energy saving.

Parks, residential areas, and rural roads: In these areas, pedestrian traffic is sparse late at night. The "lights on when people are present, lights off when people leave" mode meets basic lighting needs while greatly saving energy.

Remote and off-grid areas: Solar power combined with intelligent control completely solves the wiring problem, providing a safe and economical lighting solution for areas with weak power infrastructure.

In the future, with the development of the Internet of Things and artificial intelligence technology, the intelligent control of individual street lights will be further integrated into the management network of smart cities. Through big data analysis, the system can learn the patterns of pedestrian and vehicle flow in different areas and at different times, enabling more refined lighting strategy scheduling, further improving urban energy utilization efficiency and public service levels.
