100W LED Street Light for Residential Street Lighting Project in Malaysia

Taman Sunggala Hartamas, located in Port Dickson, is a garden-style residential community completed in 2016. It is conveniently located next to a highway entrance. Due to its proximity to a seaside tourist area and high volume of visitors, the client prioritized not only brightness and uniformity in the lighting but also the aesthetics of the luminaires and their durability in the coastal environment.

Based on the site conditions and client needs, ZGSM provided a customized residential street lighting solution using 100W H-series LED street lights. A total of 128 luminaires were installed, covering community roads, pedestrian walkways, and parking areas(Explore our lighting solutions for various applications). The overall lighting uses 4000K neutral white light, ensuring clear visibility at night while providing a soft, non-glaring light that better suits the needs of a residential area.

For the optical design, Type II light distribution (How to choose the right light distribution types for streetlights?) lenses were selected to better meet the needs of residential street lighting applications, ensuring even light distribution within the effective area and reducing glare and unwanted light spill. To address the challenges of high humidity and salt spray corrosion in coastal areas, the lighting fixtures utilize a die-cast aluminum structure with an anti-corrosion coating, maintaining stable performance over long-term use and reducing maintenance costs(Why go with street lighting maintenance?).

Since the project was put into operation, the residential street lighting system has significantly improved the nighttime environment. It not only meets the daily lighting needs of residents but also makes nighttime activities safer and more reassuring for tourists, playing a positive role in enhancing the community’s image and boosting tourism in the surrounding area.
