Street traffic light and crosswalk light in Ecuador

This LED Traffic Lights project is located in Ecuador which is finished in 2019. When a client first came to us, he said that the government want to get the roads upgraded because the area is located in the old city with high traffic and frequent traffic accidents. ZGSM recommends that customers use 12 pieces of LED traffic lights for each intersection, 4pcs of which are used for motor vehicle lanes, and the other 8pcs are used for pedestrian crossings. Three years passed, and the client reported that the lights were still working well and that there were significantly fewer traffic accidents reported locally than before. Meanwhile, the customer shows interest in participating in the local street light project after he learned that ZGSM also produces LED street lights.

Traffic signals come from “signals” used by railways. The earliest train tracks were laid on carriage roads in England. British law requires locomotives to be accompanied by a flag-bearer who walks in front of the train to warn other vehicles and horses, for which the flag-bearer must carry red flags and red lanterns. Red is the color associated with “danger.” (This may have something to do with red being the color of blood.) In the UK, after rails were removed from roads and changed to different lines, railways developed signaling systems that gave train engineers instructions to stop, drive, or drive carefully. The original roadway traffic signals usually used only two colors, red and green, although some cities used green for east-west traffic, yellow for north-south traffic, and so on. This was obviously confusing, and eventually, there was a consensus that red would mean stop and green would mean going, regardless of the direction of travel. Yellow has been associated with “caution” through its use on warning signs when a third shot was added to traffic signals to indicate changing intervals.

Compared with incandescent lamps, LED lamps are very good alternatives in terms of energy saving and long service life. Using LEDs in traffic lights can save 5 times the energy compared to traditional systems. The use of LEDs in traffic lights such as arrow traffic lights is recognized as the best available technology. Of course, in order to ensure sufficient brightness, LED signal lights sometimes need to be replaced to meet the corresponding requirements.

Traffic lights, traffic signals, or stoplights are the same thing. They are all signaling devices positioned at road intersections, pedestrian crossings, and other locations to control flow of traffic ( Find out information about traffic signal and how traffic signals work ).
