Series L hanging street lamp in a Logistics center in UAE

This is a street lighting project for a logistics center in the United Arab Emirates. The beautiful European-style lamps make this huge logistics center more modern. The project adopts our L-type 56w hanging street lamp, which is installed on a steel wire in the middle of the road. This installation method can obtain a more uniform lighting effect than the one-side installation method. The lamp post cost is reduced and this method is more economical than installing street lamps on both sides.

While we’re used to seeing electric poles or signal poles, many European towns use a hanging style for street and signal lighting.
The bulb is held in place by a tangle of wires (approximately five in all, one of which conducts power) attached to neighboring structures. Electric poles do not need to be erected along the roadside, which saves a lot of road space. It also eliminates the possibility of a drunk motorist crashing into a light post.

Color temperature is a way to describe the light appearance provided by a light bulb (lamp). It is measured in degrees of Kelvin (K) on a scale from 1,000 to 10,000. Typically, commercial and residential lighting application Kelvin temperatures fall somewhere on a scale from 2000K to 6500K. In York County, the LED lights to be installed will be in the 3000K range. The 3000K color temperature is more “warm/yellow” than the traditional 4000k LED color temperature, and is intended to be similar to the color temperature of the existing HPS roadway light.

LEDs, or light-emitting diodes, use solid-state technology to convert electricity into light. Put simply, LEDs are very small light bulbs that fit into an electrical circuit. Unlike traditional bulbs, they don’t have a filament that burns out and they don’t get very warm.
